Camp-A-Thon
In 2020, I designed creative assets for Crowders Camps.
Client: Crowders Camps
Role: Graphic Designer, Photographer
Deliverables: Logo, Social Media Content, Live Stream Assets, Photography
About the Project
Challenges: Crowders Camps, casually referred to as Crowders, needed creative marketing and communications support to generate excitement before the event, keep momentum going during the day, and communicate impact after it was over.
Solution: I created a visual system to develop content that stretched across social media platforms and the livestream itself.
Pre-Event Assets
To build hype and gain interest, I designed social media posts that helped connect the viewer to the mission of Crowders and the purpose of the event.
“Every donation helps turn this simple ask into a real opportunity. Give during Camp-A-Thon and help make it happen.”
“This is what summer camp looks like. Moments of connection, joy, and growth that stay with kids long after camp ends. Help make more moments like this possible.”
“One event. One goal. Camp-A-Thon is an upcoming fundraising event designed to help more kids experience summer camp. Join us live and help make it possible.”
Live Event Assets
For the stream, I created on-screen graphics to guide viewers through the experience and provide them an easy way to give, all without interrupting the flow and accessibility of the event.
Post-Event Assets
After the event was over, I created content that extended the life of the campaign and thanked those who gave. Showing the real-world impact gave everyone something to be excited for and helped close the loop with donors.
“That’s a wrap! Thank you to everyone who tuned in, gave a testimony, gave, and helped with today’s stream. While we tally up the remaining total, leave a comment on what your favorite part was!”
“Because of your generosity, we hit a grand total of $35,000! That’s going to send a ton of kids to camp next year! God is so good!”
“Thank you for showing up and giving generously. Because of your support, more kids will get to experience the joy, growth, and community that summer camp provides. We’re grateful for every donation, every share, and everyone who made Camp-A-Thon possible.”
The Outcome
Crowders continued to use the logo system and templates for social media the following year. In its first year, Camp-A-Thon raised just over $35,000 in scholarships, completely surpassing their goal and establishing a baseline for the next few years.
