About Limestone CARES
Limestone CARES is a community-wide event put on by Limestone University in Gaffney, South Carolina. Headed by the Communications and Marketing Department, the event focuses on the impact the city of Gaffney has for Limestone and its surrounding community. The event serves as a “thank you” for the tireless work and support for the students and faculty.

Throughout the project, I learned how to strategically fit large amounts of text onto marketing materials with small footprints—it was not uncommon to receive large amounts of copy. In order to fix this, I quickly learned how to edit text down, sending proofs of the copy to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications for approval.
I was regularly in the Adobe Creative Suite, mainly Photoshop for image editing and InDesign for page layout. I delivered a logo, save-the-date and invite, name tag lanyard, parking signs, thank you card, and other marketing materials.
Limestone CARES drew 75+ attendees across 3 breakout sessions in its first and only year.
